Education

PhD, Physics, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia

I am an assistant attending physicist in the Department of Medical Physics with board certification in Nuclear Medical Physics. My responsibilities include performing quality assurance procedures and providing clinical support for gamma cameras in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

My involvement in several multidisciplinary teams at our institution has allowed me to gain experience in the following research areas: pharmacokinetic modeling of novel radiotracers (e.g., surrogate biomarkers of tumor hypoxia, glutamine flux and metabolism, norepinephrine transporter activity, inhibition of heat shock protein 90, and expression of programmed death-ligand 1); imaging and assessment of response to targeted therapies; radionuclide dosimetry; and techniques to quantify and improve drug delivery.

I am also a member of the National Institutes of Health’s Quantitative Imaging Network.
